Couples Therapy

If you are struggling in your relationship how would you know?  Check the internet, right?  After a quick search with these terms, I immediately found “Quiz: Is My Relationship Healthy?”, “31 Ways to Know You’re In the Right Relationship”, “9 Ways Therapists Can Tell If Your Relationship Won’t Work”, “10 Signs That You’re In a Healthy Relationship” and the list goes on with over 180,000 pages.   Are you sure that a search on the internet is the best way to determine if there’s an “easy button”?  If it WAS that easy, why wouldn’t you try it out?  Or, more importantly, what IS going on in your relationship that is not working? 

The simple answer, like anything is simple, is that there are many different reasons couples struggle within their relationships.   Can you answer these questions without help?

Couples therapy, like individual therapy, is NOT “one size fits all.”  I use some of the same strategies as individual therapy to help the couple reconnect and determine which issues can be worked on individually and together.
